Does the Indian Education System impact The Mental Health Of Students
“Yes, the Indian Education System impact The Mental Health Of Students as Indian Education System depend only on memorizing concepts and evaluating its concepts through exams only ” as said by Eduminatti.com . The purpose of providing education to the students in India is misinterpreted as education doesn't solemnly means making students literate it also have a role in preparing students for real life and adding skills in them.
But according to the Schools in Mumbai , Indian Education System only focusing on memorizing concepts and not on their practical implementation in real life. Moreover there is no focus on interest as well as talent of students. Eventhough if student has zero interest in subject he/she is forced to memorise its concept without making them understand through its practicality in life.In this System students are just treated as robots where they are just memorizing concepts for exams without understanding need and interest in that subjects.Students have a large impact on their mental health due to fear of failing in these so called exams where just their memorizing is tested. This even led to lower their selfesteem due to large amount of competition in memoring and failing in life.Even family expectations and teachers unpractical approach towards this kind of education even worse their mental health.Peer pressure also have role in impacting the mental health of students as students start comparing their exams results with their friends and got depressed. This is more like race where every student is running more behind marks than skills so that they can have secure future and this is what demand of our Indian Education System. This affect mental health of students to such extent that under this burden of peerpressure, family expectation, fear of failing could led students to commit suicide. They got depress as this Indian Education System all depends on forceful memorisation without any understanding of concepts or skills involved in practical life.
Sometimes students who have huge practical skills, hardworking in nature left behind due to this system of memorising machines where students having zero talent but high memorising power could win. This sometime led to affect and impact their mental health to a great extent and even could end their tender lives. So Indian Education System should improve itself and focus on more on practical skills and concept of lives, testing practical skills and understanding of concept rather than just memorising concepts so that talented students with genuine interest and skills could come up and become successful. This also lower burden from student heads and prepare students for upcoming life. Moreover other subjects like mental health, handling emotions and stress, social life regulating lessons , sexual education should also be involved in Indian Education System to make students ready for upcoming beautiful life.
