The education sector is booming in India. As per survey done by students of top boarding schools in Bangalore, the number of students enrolling in the institution grows by leaps and bounds. Since the demand exceeds the supply, it is no wonder that there are a lot of institutions coming up in different parts of the country.

Byju’s was founded by Byju Raveendran who has been rated as one of the most influential people under 40 years of age by Forbes magazine. The company provides learning app with fun and engaging features like videos, animations and trivia questions.

The app has over 5 million downloads and has over 1 million paid subscribers across India. It also received funding of $75 million in Series D round led by Chan Zuckerberg Initiative.

EduKart is a leading online educational store in India. The company is founded by Saurabh Kumar and Devanshu Chakraborty. The platform offers courses from various reputed universities across India.

Snap Learning is one of the leading digital education providers in Asia Pacific region. It offers a wide range of innovative digital learning solutions such as e-learning, m-learning, mobile learning, on-demand learning, social networking and cloud-based learning management systems etc.

In 2010 they acquired the educational services company named Qwikcilver Solutions Pvt Ltd from Hyderabad for $2 million USD

India has a wealth of startups. These startups are emerging at a time when the country is focusing on technological innovation at every level. The government’s “Startup India” initiative is intended to provide a boost to the startup ecosystem in the country, and there are multiple elements to this.
