On the very face of it, the purpose of education seems to be able to gain economic prosperity. It is something you need to get the things that you want. It is seen as an investment with great returns.

However, it is not limited to it and even though it provides knowledge and skills which help us to find out better opportunities at work, social life and other fields, education enables us to understand a myriad of phenomena. It is through education that many underprivileged groups have been able to claim their rights and women who have also been undermined can benefit from the power of knowledge.

In the history of the humankind, women have been pioneers in various fields even though they faced many restrictions throughout their lives. It was through education that they were able to

As per research done by top girls schools in India, education for women is an important part of life, which develops skills, knowledge, and attitudes that lead to independence. Unless you educate a girl you are taking over the heavy financial responsibility of feeding her.

At the age when she should be freed from home and family cares she will be burdened with them forever. Therefore education brings greater facilities for self-support and makes it possible for her to accumulate something that will belong to herself alone when she marries.

Gender equality is very important in all societies because of the benefits it generates for both men and women. Not only does it create a more secure, prosperous and healthier society, it can also promote more sustainable economic growth. The results of better-educated females will not wait for a generation for payback, especially in areas such as growth, employability and competitiveness.

It also means competitive advantage in economy. It has been held that educated women are bread winners as they are more likely to be employed and earn higher wages.

Being educated, women can lead independent lives. In many parts of the country women have to face verbal, physical and sexual abuse and often due to being uneducated neither can they leave their husbands nor can they report such abuses. If a woman is educated she has the resources to be able to lead an independent life.

Educated women also further propagate the idea of empowerment in rural areas where women still have to face a lot of restrictions. Despite several international and local efforts, a lot of women around the world are still living in the primitive age.

Most of them are not even allowed to get an education. Furthermore, the education for women is still not equal to the one for men: there are not enough female professors, despite that many women have twice as many university degrees as men; in several countries women cannot vote or run for political offices; and because of many social, religious and economic reasons, women make a limited access to professional training and therefore more and more women need to be educated to create workforces with equal members of each gender.

The more educated the women, the more progressive a society becomes; that’s why it is very important to educate them as much as possible. The benefits that female education has are innumerable.
